When you're in upstate NY, you don't expect great cuisine from faraway places.
However, Mt. Fuji is a wonderful exception. The front part where one can get traditional Japanese and Chinese dishes is very nice. The sushi is always fresh (and I'm a stickler for that).
The teppanyaki tables in the back are wonderful. The chefs are great at creating fun. (I find it funny when the customers are such cold fish that they could be served up as sushi in the front.)
I have been in teppanyaki restaurants on cruise ships that have not been as fun as the tables here.
(And I must admit when the chef is squirting sake down your throat while shouting, "Sake, sake, sake..." just honestly cracks me up.... but that's because sometimes I have the humor of an adolescent. :)
